Step 6
How to Rebuild Yourself and Become the Master of Your Life: Psychological Engineering

The Cybernetic Loop and Locus of Control:
Transitioning from Passenger to Pilot
Imagine two people living in their own homes.
The first person lives in a house they inherited. It is old and uncomfortable, with a leaky roof and squeaky floors. They complain about it constantly but never change a thing, convinced that "this is just their fate." They are a passive tenant.
The second person designed and built their house themselves. They carefully planned every detail: the room layout, the ceiling heights, and the view from each window. If something breaks, they don't complain; they pick up their tools and fix it. If the space becomes too small, they don't suffer; they design an extension. They are the master and architect.
Most of us inhabit our internal worlds like the first person—as passive tenants in a house cluttered with inherited "blind beliefs," habitual fears, and the cold drafts of negative emotions. But this course has provided you with the tools to become the second person. It is time to stop being a mere occupant and become the architect of your own soul.
