You have already learned how to select your goals and navigate toward them. This is a massive systemic upgrade! However, even when following our own path, we often turn it into a high-speed race. We become so focused on the finish line that we forget to scan our surroundings. We "swallow" pleasant moments whole without tasting them, rushing toward the next achievement.

The result? Even the most desirable life can turn into a mere checklist of completed tasks rather than a sequence of vivid joys. We obtain the result, but we miss the most critical component—the pleasure of the process.

This Level is dedicated to the skill of slowing down and returning the "flavor" to your life. We are shifting from the psychology of the "Achiever" to the psychology of the "Connoisseur." We will learn how to extract 100% of the joy from every moment, every desire, and every step along your journey.

Positive Psychology (pioneered by Martin Seligman) identifies three primary pathways—or system vectors—for achieving happiness:

  • Pleasure: The specific skill we are mastering at this stage, technically known as Savoring.
  • Engagement: The experience of Flow that we analyzed in Level 2.
  • Meaning: The establishment of purpose, which will be the focus of Level 6.
